STRIVE2FREE GALA, WOODLAKE HOTEL, SACRAMENTO.
This was the first of hopefully many gala events. This organization is tasked with the goal of raising local awareness of sex trafficking. The event was beyond sold out and was a huge success. They hoped to host 150 people and they nearly had 200. The group brought in a great band named Betty & The Boomers. They were a delight to work with and I am glad the hotel had such a large stage. The saxaphone player is one of the founding members of Sly and The Family Stone so the stage was full of talent. We did lighting, sound and video projection. One of the highlights was we got to use our 20" mirror ball and hit it with two intelligent lights which made the ball explode with light. It was a really enjoyable evening. I hired Chris and Mike and seriously could not have done this event without them. And of course thank you to Talitha for running the lighting.

RACHEL & DAVID WEDDING, HYATT VINEYARD CREEK, SANTA ROSA.
This wedding has been on our calendar for a long time and I have been looking forward to it. I have never been to this hotel and it was a really nice place with great staff. The outdoor courtyard is perfect for wedding ceremonies and even has its own invisible sound system above the lawn area. This ceremony was taking place against the fireplace, so I brought in sound. The event was a really fun time and the time flew by.

LAW ENFORCEMENT CHAPLAINCY REAL DUI COURT, CRISTO REY HIGH SCHOOL, SACRAMENTO.
This was our 17th DUI event in Sacramento County and was by far the smallest gymnasium and crowd we have done yet. This is a very small private school and they had 80 students witnessing our event. I brought in Emily and Paul and once again, we set it up, ran it and took it down with great speed and efficiency. The event itself ran smoothly and with how much echo there was in this concrete gym, the sound worked rather well. This school is running a great program on a shoe string budget and I noticed they have some Radio Shack installed speakers with pad locks on them. I really felt bad this humble school couldn't even afford to have their $80 speakers go missing. We were impressed with the school and look forward to doing an event there again some day. My truck was getting a warranty repair, so I had to rent a truck from Sunstate Equipment Rentals. I was surprised when they told me they even had trucks. They have 2 of them and they are reasonably priced.
